What's so great about The Social Network's sound track?

I've listened and listened, and usually I can find something to like
in most music, but I really don't see the appeal of this soundtrack.
Yet people rave about it on YouTube and it won an Oscar. I like Trent
Reznor but I don't get the hype. Can someone please explain to me why
they love it?
