Sarah Jessica Parker Confirms Theres A Story For Sex And The City 3
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Days after reports surfaced that Sarah Jessica Parker was planning to bring Sex and The City back to television, after a tabloid suggested she scrapped plans for a movie, the actress herself confirmed to Parade, there is actually an idea for a third film. When asked if there was a chance for a third installment in the HBO show-turned-big screen franchise to return, Sarah Jessica said it just might. There is. I know what the story is, she told Parade magazine, in an issue set to appear in newspapers on Sunday. Its a small story, but I think it should be told. The question is, whats the right time to tell it? Previously, a rep for SJP shot down the tabloid report last weekend that she was behind a move to bring Carrie Bradshaw and the gang back to television. Beyond Sex and The City talk, Sarah Jessica confirmed her eldest son, with husband Matthew Broderick, James Wilkie, 8, wants to be an actor. But, mom isnt ready to let him join the family business just yet. I dont want him to do it until after he goes to college: But part of me thinks maybe its better if he knows the truth now about how hard it is to be a working actor, she told the mag. I dont know that he grasps what it took to get us here. And it wont be long before the twins Loretta and Tabitha, 2, start getting vocal about their aspirations too. Sarah Jessica said the little ones are already quite rambunctious. Theyre talking, theyre running, they need me. Loretta is deeply inquisitive: Do you see that, do you hear that, Mama? She constantly checks that we are connecting with her, the actress said, adding that her sister is the family princess. Tabitha does not give; she receives. Copyright 2011 by NBC Universal, Inc. Vampire Diaries Season 3 Scoop: Vicki Is at Odds with Anna, Tries to Reconnect with Matt
Kayla Ewell Vicki and Anna may have been together in their shocking return to Vampire Diaries, but when the show returns for Season 3, they'll be anything but united. "Vicki has a master plan and it's trying to be stopped by Anna," Kayla Ewell, who plays Vicki Donovan, tells TVGuide.com. "A lot of what Anna says is, 'Beware of Vicki, be careful.'" Is The Vampire Diaries on your Watchlist? Add it and your other favorites now and never miss an episode Besides being dead vampires, Vicki and Anna (Malese Jow) have another thing in common: Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). When the show debuted, Vicki and Jeremy began hooking up and developed deep feelings for each other - until Vicki was turned and killed. Anna soon came to town and she and Jeremy got together. He even asked her to turn him, but she met her demise in the finale. Vicki and Anna came back as ghosts in the final moments of Season 2, and Ewell says the two will be definitely around for a significant chunk of episodes in Season 3. With both Vicki and Anna back, a battle is in the offing. "They keep hinting towards this huge epic fight between Bonnie, Anna and Vicki," the 25-year-old actress says. "If that were to happen, there would be major powers at stake there because we're talking two vampire ghosts and a witch." Vampire Diaries Season 3 preview: Will Jeremy see more dead people? That witch just happens to be Jeremy's girlfriend - meaning Bonnie and Jeremy's blissful romance will hit some bumps because of Vicki. "All Vicki does is toy with people. She doesn't know any other way," Ewell says. "Of course I think ultimately Vicki wants Jeremy to be happy ... but Vicki she can be selfish and her one and only love is Jeremy so she's going to go for it as much as she can. Vicki's trying pretty hard to get back into his life and I think there will be a lot of success there." Along with Vicki's determination to get back into Jeremy's life, she has another mission in returning to Mystic Falls: to reconnect with brother Matt (Zach Roerig). "She died and Matt never really got any answers as to why and how. They're really addressing a lot of that and our past," she says. But if Vicki's a vampire-turned-ghost and Matt's a human, how will the two communicate? Ewell explains that, for now, Vicki will try to let Matt know she's "alive" by moving things around the house, but adds, "I do say I can come back...they've been teasing we don't just remain ghosts." And Ewell says the returning Vicki is amped up, explaining: "Vicki got screwed out of life, so she's back for redemption." The Vampire Diaries returns Thursday, Sept. 15 at 8/7c on CW. Catwoman's Stunt Double Is Destroying IMAX Cameras on 'The Dark Knight Rises' Set (VIDEO)
Remember when we got those pictures a couple days ago of Anne Hathaway's stunt double cruising around on the Batpod? Well as cool as they are, apparently she's a crap driver. As seen in recent off-screen footage, the stunt double drives the Batpod down the steps of a building in Pittsburgh's Carnegie Mellon University, makes it to the bottom in one piece, then careens right into an IMAX camera, sending it flying out of the hands of a nearby cameraman before it shatters on the ground. Word on the street is that the high-end IMAX cameras can run you upwards of $500,000, and being that this is 'The Dark Knight Rises' we're talking about, something tells us she just cost Warner Bros. half-a-million dollars. Lucky for her, they've still got $249.5 million to work with, but nevertheless, that is no way to drive a Batpod. So go ahead and check out the video of the stunt double's wild ride. Head on over to TMZ to get a better view of the carnage and the stunt double's surprising non-reaction to wrecking something that costs as much as two Tumblers. So would you fire an actor/cameraman if they just cost you $500,000? Photo courtesy of JoBlo.

The Walking Dead, Sarah Wayne Callies and John Bernthal Walking Dead: Lori and Shane's pre-zombiepocalypse life will be revealed this fall. "It was fun to step out of the zombie world and show Lori with a BlackBerry," says Sarah Wayne Callies. Additionally, creator Robert Kirkman is considering penning a Dead graphic novel, "Volume Zero," that would show just how the two went from grieving friends to lovers. Nikita: A key flashback comes in Episode 6, involving Nikita's biological parents, whom viewers have never seen. "We're going into her origins," teases executive producer Craig Silverstein. "She's searching for home and will find one that is unlike anything she ever imagined." Her backstory will show Nikita as a teenage junkie, introduce her old female mentor and show how she was recruited into Division. "It's going to blow fans' minds," says star Maggie Q. NCIS: Los Angeles: Executive producer Shane Brennan says the September 20 premiere includes a flashback to "Callen with his never-before-seen mother in a location we've seen before." Stuart Whitworth - Chris Lowell
Constantine Jefferson - Cicely Tyson
Johnny Foote - Mike Vogel
Missus Walters - Sissy Spacek
Elaine Stein - Mary SteenburgenA stirring black-empowerment tale aimed squarely at white auds, "The Help" personalizes the civil rights movement through the testimony of domestic servants working in Jackson, Miss., circa 1963. But more than that, it serves as an enlightening and deeply affecting exercise in empathy for those who've never considered what life must have been like for African-Americans living with inequality a full century after the Emancipation Proclamation called an end to slavery. With its Southern sass and feel-good sensitivity -- and broad awareness as a New York Times bestseller -- "The Help" should clean up domestically, though it may not translate well overseas. Based on Kathryn Stockett's unlikely chart-topper, in which a white girl who fancies herself a writer convinces more than a dozen Mississippi maids to publish their stories, the adaptation is a multiethnic ensembler with likely greater appeal among genteel white ladies than the black community it somewhat patronizingly seeks to understand. The eminently likable Emma Stone plays the young journalist, a misfit debutante-turned-college grad named Skeeter Phelan, though the true hero is Viola Davis' Aibileen, the African-American maid who puts her life and career on the line; in the Jim Crow South, talking out of turn could get Aibileen lynched. The pair make compelling leads in a film packed with strong female characters. Getting to know this colorful and diverse group of ladies is chief among "The Help's" many pleasures, as the film emphasizes hankie-tugging sisterhood over pricklier issues that continue to divide the races today. Standouts include Hilly Holbrook (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Celia Foote (Jessica Chastain), two white ladies from opposite ends of the social spectrum. Even though the actresses playing them look uncannily similar, they create radically different portraits of Southern eccentricity. As president of the local Junior League, Hilly is the classy Marilyn to Celia's trailer-trash Norma Jean; both women also happen to share a maid, the cantankerous and equally unforgettable Minny Jackson (Octavia Spencer), who isn't afraid to burn bridges in order to preserve her self-respect. Everyone who's anyone in Jackson -- from Skeeter's imperious mother (Allison Janney, perfectly cast) to Aibileen's boss, Elizabeth Leefolt (Ahna O'Reilly, a master of the insincere Southern smile-scowl) -- allows Hilly to bully them around. Top of her agenda is passing a bill that would require employers to build separate outdoor bathrooms for the help. Thanks to Minny, she'll get her just desserts, courtesy of a twist that rivals that of kindred spirit "Fried Green Tomatoes." In the novel, Skeeter's anonymously published expose is simply called "Help" -- a clever play on words that suggests a cry for change from segregated second-class citizens desperate for their voices to be heard. The film, adapted with the sure hand of a seasoned pro by Stockett's longtime friend Tate Taylor (a relatively unproven director with only one previous feature to his name, 2008's "Pretty Ugly People"), hews relatively close to its source material, running a tad on the long side in order to squeeze in most of the personality-rich book's characters and subplots. Still, many of these elements are paid little more than passing recognition and might have been better omitted altogether, if only to leave more room for the maids. Though the film makes Hilly's Home Help Sanitation Initiative (like her use of the N-word) unreasonable enough that no one would hesitate to denounce it today, the issue cuts to the heart of Stockett's strong central theme: In their own minds, many Southern whites viewed their servants as members of the family, and yet they seldom extended them the same courtesies they would have shown to even the most unwanted relative. To underscore the point, Stockett includes Hilly's mother, Missus Walters (Sissy Spacek), whose Alzheimer's hasn't advanced enough to erase the memory of her daughter's most embarrassing secret. In 1960s Mississippi, the only thing the white society ladies value more than discretion is gossip, and Skeeter's book threatens to expose all their dirty laundry. Even more entertaining than the dirt is the dramatic story behind the book's creation, intercut with such actual events as the assassination of Medgar Evers, which positions the publication of the fictitious tome as one of those inspiring small steps/giant leaps in which white readers come to recognize their fellow man. The film itself shares that perspective, frequently privileging the maids' point of view, to the extent that Taylor opens and closes the film with Aibileen's testimony to Skeeter's question: "What's it feel like raising a white child when your own child is at home being raised by someone else?" Like Stockett, Taylor grew up in Jackson and demonstrates a keen, wryly observant sense for the dialect and mannerisms of his hometown. Despite his limited directing experience, the helmer has firm control of the material, working with production designer Mark Ricker ("Julie & Julia") and costume designer Sharen Davis ("Dreamgirls") to create a robust, fully saturated snapshot of the city, from Hilly's impeccable beehive hairdo to Aibileen's understated-yet-proud living room.
"The Help" probably didn't need the anemic romantic thread between Skeeter and Stuart Whitworth (Chris Lowell), though its inclusion -- over the book's explanation for what really happened to Constantine (Cicely Tyson), the Phelan family maid who lost her job after her daughter was born pale enough to pass for white -- suggests where the film's priorities lie. It's a shame, too, that the pic leaves out the particulars of what happens to Aibileen, though the final scene -- in concert with Thomas Newman's score throughout -- is irrefutably optimistic about where things are headed.Camera (Deluxe color), Stephen Goldblatt; editor, Hughes Winborne; music, Thomas Newman; production designer, Mark Ricker; art director, Curt Beech; set decorator, Rena Deangelo; costume designer, Sharen Davis; sound (Dolby Digital/Datasat/SDDS), Willie Burton; supervising sound editor, Dennis Drummond; visual effects supervisor, Ray McIntyre, Jr.; visual effects, Pixel Magic; re-recording mixers, Scott Millan, David Giammarco; casting, Kerry Barden, Paul Schnee.
